Meet Noah
Did you know November is National Diabetes Month? Over one million Americans are living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the US today.
Noah is 10 and was diagnosed with T1D at 16 months old. Every day he carefully balances his blood sugar, pricking his finger 3-4 times. Recently, Noah asked his father, “How far do I need to walk for a cure?” His father didn’t know how to reply. Noah left and a few minutes later returned with a map of the US, showing his father how he planned to March Across America for a T1D cure. Noah starts his march on January 1, 2017.
In honor of Noah and National Diabetes Month, we’re launching “Double Your Dollars for Diabetes” campaign.

About The Diabetes Research Connection
We are a nonprofit raising funds for peer-reviewed research to improve the quality of life for children like Noah, and adults with T1D. Our vision is to support innovative scientific inquiry until T1D is eliminated. We connect donors with early-career researchers, enabling them to perform novel research designed to prevent and cure T1D and minimize its complications.
Since late 2014, we’ve funded seven research projects and raised more than $400,000 to eradicate the disease.
Your donation helps early-career scientists get their ideas off the ground and enables 100% of funds directed for T1D research to go directly to the researcher’s laboratory. Donations are critical for us to operate our innovative platform even though DRC’s operating costs are kept targeted to be less than 10% of gross revenue.
