Those with type 1 diabetes (T1D) live in a constant cycle of worry and stress around blood sugars, carbohydrates, lows, highs and insulin all day; every day. As you can imagine, this takes a toll on their physical and emotional well-being. Parents are plagued with sleepless nights, worried that their child’s blood sugar may drop too low in the middle of the night.

You can help improve the lives of countless adults, children and their families who all suffer from this tormenting disease by making a donation to our general fund. Last year, over 50% of donations made to the general fund were used to support our T1D research projects.

Since 2015, we have funded 24 innovative, peer-reviewed type 1 diabetes (T1D) projects and distributed $1.4M directly to early-career scientists, building a pipeline of talented T1D researchers.

In partnership with our community, the main initiative in 2020 is sustainable funding through monthly giving to raise $300,000 and fund an additional 5-10 T1D research projects this year. Over 50% of funds from the general fund are used every year towards approved research projects.

100% of the funds designated for research go directly to the scientists’ labs.

Thank you very much for your contribution to our peer-reviewed research projects as well as our General Fund! With your help, the researchers on our website will add to the body of diabetes knowledge and help end this disease!
